The First Genesis

The First Genesis is a dark science-fantasy epic of inheritance, transformation, and the rise and fall of worlds. After traveling the world and encountering hundreds of cultures, Nim now lives a quiet life in the mountains under the care of his aging uncle, Hass. But Hass has come to this remote place to die—and before he does, he must pass on not only power, but knowledge.

Nim does not fully understand his own past, nor the depth of the legacy waiting inside his uncle’s failing body. When Hass finally reveals the truth, Nim inherits far more than a family history. He is drawn into an ancient legacy stretching back to Sair Ra, the First Dragon, the arrival of world-altering microorganisms, the rise of giants and kings, and the destruction and rebirth of civilizations across the vast ages of Earth.

As old chronicles unfold and buried technologies awaken, Nim must decide whether he is worthy to carry forward a power that once shaped life itself. In a story where the future is measured in eons, can he save humanity as Hass and Sair Ra have done before, or is the world doomed to remain under the rule of the Giant King?
